It all started in Arlington, Virginia March 11, 2022. Dana and Matt both went out on Friday night with a group of friends, Dana to listen to some live music and unwind after a long day of teaching, and Matt to wait until his favorite late night food truck opened. The two have spent every night out and in together ever since. From hopping on the metro to visit each other, to moving in together in Virginia, to shipping up to Boston. It only seemed right for Matt to pop the question in their new home state, in their favorite beach town, on their favorite holiday!

It was Labor Day Weekend 2025, Matt heads off to an early morning haircut, after slyly scrubbing his shoes in the kitchen sink, and grabs a small square box from the hall closet as they prepare to spend a weekend with family and friends in Scituate, MA. Naturally Dana packs a white dress "just in case." Matt surprised Dana after the proposal by having her family fly in to Massachusetts for the first time to celebrate the engagement. They've been celebrating ever since and preparing for this exciting weekend spent with all of you!
